Kensey Craig – Engineering Technician

Company Background:

Kensey was hired by French Engineering on April 5th, 2017 and became a full-time employee after her graduation.

Company Responsibilities:

Kensey currently serves as an Engineering Technician. Her current duties include: developing and performing quality control for traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic signal and timing plans. She provides highway safety analysis support by developing crash diagrams, tables, and pie charts necessary for both qualitative and quantitative analysis. She also assists in traffic data collection. Kensey also leads the effort in District 12’s involvement in the Pennsylvania program for automated speed enforcement in work zones. She is proficient with the following software: MicroStation Connect, ECMS, AutoTurn, SignCAD, and AutoTAB.

Recent projects for which Kensey had a primary or substantial role in include:

  • District 9-0: US 219- Sunset Road to 10th St –  Kensey prepared a signing plan that included the existing signing with nomenclature and size. Using this, she analyzed and revised the signing to be in accordance with current standards.
  • District 12-0: SR0981 Laurel Valley Transportation Improvement Project – Kensey developed the signing and pavement marking plan that covered the length of new SR0981 from the southern limit at the connection with SR 0981 Section Y10 and the northern limit that connects to Airport Rd and SR0981 V10.
  • District 12-0: District 12 Local Bridge Preservation – This project was a bundle of six structures of various sizes, types, and conditions owned by various municipalities throughout District 12. Kensey prepared the detour plans for all six bridges.
