Smallman Street Redevelopment, 15th Street to 21st Street, City of Pittsburgh, PA

French Engineering, LLC (FE) served as a subconsultant for the reconstruction of Smallman Street from 15th Street to 21st Street in the Strip District performing both traffic signal designs and signing and pavement marking plans. Based on the success of this project, this street is a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly activity center which is located amidst a larger area undergoing redevelopment. It was designed to accommodate increased vehicular traffic, on-street parking, loading docks, transit stops, and unsignalized and signalized pedestrian / bicycle circulation.
